REQUIREMENTS : *A degree in Surveying/Geomatics/Geographical Information Science or equivalent. *Registration with the SA Council for Professional and Technical Surveyors. *At least 10 years appropriate experience, of which at least three years must be in management. *Excellent interpersonal skills. *Knowledge of public financial management. *Knowledge of government planning. *Good computer literacy skills. *A valid Code B driver’s licence.

CENTRE : CHIEF DIRECTORATE: LAND RESTITUTION SUPPORT: WESTERN CAPE
REQUIREMENTS : * Postgraduate degree in Engineering. * Extensive proven project management experience, preferably in large Government programmes and/or in urban development. * Understanding of and experience in the mandate of Government, including service delivery programmes. * Good understanding of and experience in implementation of project management for large projects. * Proven track record of high-level projects in the Western Cape would be an advantage. * Knowledge of all aspects of project management, together with experience in budgetary planning, expenditure reporting, monitoring and evaluation, infrastructure planning and implementation. * Knowledge of software tools for project management. * Ability to design, develop and implement institutional projects and programmes. * Experience in developing and implementing risk management strategies. * Analytical skills. * Problem-solving skills. * Ability to learn and master new products and concepts. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills in at least 2 of the 3 languages most inused in the Western Cape, viz English, Afrikaans and Xhosa. * Good report- writing skills. * Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment and interact with cross-functional teams. * Valid driver’s licence. * Experience in the implementation of Public Private Partnership arrangements or similar would be an advantage.
DUTIES : * With existing role-players, develop and implement a programme for the redevelopment of District 6, according to principles and objectives already identified in a comprehensive business plan for the redevelopment of the area. The redevelopment of District 6 is a project which aims to achieve the strategic objectives of the Department. * Manage outsourced services through appropriate Service Level Agreements. * Ensure project documentation is maintained in the programme. * Monitor the programme and ensure achievement of service delivery outcomes. * Ensure effective management of risks associated with the programme and report potential deviation from the programme plan. * Design and align all projects within the programme to support the overall objectives of the Department. * Compile monthly project management information reports and circulate for the attention of all role-players. * Coordinate all meetings in the Programme, including the Technical Steering Committee and Task Team. * Mobilise the provincial service delivery structures of all Departments forming part of the programme. * Implement the stakeholder engagement plan. * Follow up and report on implementation of resolutions. * Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including team members, management and other programme stakeholders regarding status of the programme.

SALARY : R212 106 per annum (Level 8)

REQUIREMENTS : National Diploma in Deeds Registration or National Senior Certificate plus 7 years’ experience as Chief Deeds Registration clerk in Registration sectioin. * Extensive knowledge of DRS and DOTs -57- system. * Knowledge of the processes within the Deeds Office. Advance typing skills. * Supervisory skills. * Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
DUTIES : * Allocate barcodes to account holders. * Provide deeds registration information and support. * Administer the deeds tracking system. * Provide support to land reform component. * Address deeds related enquiries.
