Test Directions for Prepositions, Conjunctions, and Interjections – 7th grade

- Given a paragraph you will be asked to identify prepositions and object

of prepositions.

- Given ten sentences you will have to circle the correct prepositions in

parentheses – these are taken from preposition rules like:

among/between, differ with/differ from, etc.

- Given five sentences you will have to tell whether the italicized words

are prepositions or adverbs.

- Given ten sentences you will have to tell if the italicized conjunctions

are : coordinating, correlative, conjunctive adverbs, or subordinating

conjunctions.

- Given five sentences with blanks you will have to fill in with the type or

conjunctions given at the end of the sentence.

- Given seven sentences with parentheses you will have to circle the

correct word – taken from rules such as : like/as, without/unless, etc.
