Maccabi SA Golf 56th National Championships 20TH March – 22nd March 2016

Maccabi SA Golf invites you to participate in the 56th National Championships to be held at Plettenberg Bay Country Club in Plettenberg Bay Maccabi Golf is a social golf club. Our tournament is open to everyone – Young and old, low handicap or high handicap! Maccabi golf is a fantastic opportunity to build on existing friendships and create new ones. The camaraderie and competitive golf, friendships, daily prizes and a great golf course are there to be enjoyed by all.

Programme of events:

Saturday 19 March 2016 Practise round Welcome dinner and registration – From 18:00 at The Beacon Island Hotel

Sunday 20 March 2016 First round of tournament AGM on completion of the round Dinner Function – From 18:00 at Enrico’s Keerbooms

Monday 21 March 2016 – Public Holiday Second round of tournament Dinner at Leisure

Tuesday 22 March 2016 Final round of tournament Prize Giving Cocktails at the Golf Club – After the Round Approx 14:00

Tournament format:

• Played in 7 divisions over 54 holes. • Practice round 19 March is included in your entry fee. Times have been reserved but bookings need to be made directly with Plett Country Club on 044 533-2132

A Division 0 - 5 Individual Medal

B Division 6 - 13 Individual Medal Stableford

C Division 14 - 26 Individual Stableford

Masters 50 Years & Older Individual Medal Stableford 13 Handicap & Better

Super Seniors 65 Years & Older Off Individual Stableford Senior Tees

• Divisions will be finalised once final entries have been correlated • A Masters Tournament for players 50 years & older on the 19 March 2016 • Ladies Tournament format will be decided dependant on entries received • A Junior Tournament played over 54 Holes for players with Handicaps 13 and better • Golf Carts: Will only be allowed on the presentation of a current Doctors certificate which must be faxed to 086 508 3313. Please book carts well in advance with Maccabi as they are limited (cost for players account) R200 per cart per day. Masters & Super Seniors do not need a certificate. • Caddies: No outside caddies will be allowed - cost for players own account. R150 min per day. • Daily Prizes: Per division • Overall Prizes: There will be Gross & Nett Prizes in all Medal Divisions for Winners & Runners-up. And Winners and Runners –up in all other divisions • Handicaps: Only golfers with official handicaps will be accepted into the tournament • A division – rounds 1 & 2 will be a strict draw. Final round the top 12 are seeded the rest may make their own games if so desired • All other divisions – Rounds 1 & 2 players can make their own games. Final round top 12 are seeded with others being able to make their own games if so desired Entering the tournament:
