Computer Lab Assignment #1

Task #1: If you do not use your CSUN email account as your usual/daily email, then forward your CSUN email to your personal email address:

1. Go to: http://www.csun.edu/itr/guide for detailed instructions. 2. Then, click on the Portal Menu “CSUN Webmail” on the left to make the change.

1. Login to your CSUN account maintenance page in http://www.csun.edu/account and check the “Mail Forwarding” check box. Follow the instructions there.

*If you do check/use your CSUN email regularly, you do not have to do the above.

Task #2: Register at Turnitin.com 1. Go to http://turnitin.com 2. Click (top right corner of page) 3. are you a student or instructor: STUDENT 4. Turnitin class ID: 1940344 Turnitin class enrollment password: 16025 (this is our class ticket number) 5. Enter your email address 6. Enter your password (it must contain a number and a symbol)

Confirm your password 7. secret question Question answer: 8. your first name: Your last name: 9. Read agreement and click

** Note: The email address that you enter will be the one that your receipts are sent to. When we begin submitting essays to turnitin.com, you will have to make sure you print the receipt and turn it in with your final paper on the due date.

Task #3:

Go to our class website: www.csun.edu/~amg69708

1. Write down this website address and save it. This is the place to go to when you need to print important documents such as: the class syllabus, updated agenda, essay assignments, etc. Important announcements and reminders will also be posted on this site. 2. Click on the link titled “English 155 Classroom & Lab Contract.” You will need to print this document, read, and sign it. Once you do this, please turn it in to me.
