READING OF NPC CREED
We, as Undergraduate Members of women’s fraternities, stand for good scholarship, for guarding of good health, for maintenance of fine standards, and for serving, to the best of our ability, our college community. Cooperation for furthering fraternity life, in harmony with its best possibilities, is the ideal that shall guide our fraternity activities.
ROLL CALL Gamma Rho Lambda absent ANNOUNCEMENTS & SPEAKERS o Sebastian O'Connor- Good Neighbors Program o Zeke Sorenson- International Student Study Proposal . Will be sending out a campus wide survey about how students feel they interact with international students, a cash prize will be rewarded to the house that has the most participants. World National Peace Day next September and looking to hold an Olympic style competition between American and International student pairs. o Marin L. Philippi- Clarion Hotel . Rebate program offered to houses that book rooms in blocks for house events (Mom’s Day, Dad’s Day etc.), receive $5 a room. Also offer group discounts on home game weekends (only hotel in town to do it) . Festival of Tree Gala going on November 20 at the KSU Alumni Center; looking for volunteers to serve for tips. o Carrie Hanson . Hy-Vee has a full catering department and special occasion catering services; also have a meeting room upstairs with food service option. Also offering individuals to speak to chapters about nutrition or fitness and offers a group discount for ordering in bulk. o Kyle Corbin . 98.9 student radio offering houses a 50% discount on ads run through the station for campus philanthropies. o PHC Applications & Election Timeline . Due Wednesday October 7 by 5 o’clock into Greek Affairs office, contact Meghan if you need an extension. Interviews will be next Tuesday and Thursday, sign up when you turn in your application; slate will be announce in Friday Findings and a Q&A after the meeting at Kappa Kappa Gamma and at the November 9th meeting we will vote. o Friday Findings . Keep sending in any philanthropy events you would like publicized. o NPC Awards . In Tampa this weekend; we won the awards for Public Relations and Risk Management. o Alpha Chi Omega- Booth in the Union next week to support October being Domestic Violence Awareness Month o Alpha Delta Pi- Last Friday was their Initiation o Alpha Xi Delta- This Friday is Fiesta Feed; Saturday is Autism Walk in KC o Chi Omega- Dad’s Day in 2 weeks; Snow Cone Stand raised $500 for Acacia’s charity o Delta Delta Delta- I-week this week, initiation this Friday o Gamma Rho Lambda o Gamma Phi Beta- Campus Golf on Saturday o Kappa Alpha Theta- Dad’s Week in 2 weeks o Kappa Delta- Elementary Olympics on Sunday; I-week in 2 weeks o Kappa Kappa Gamma- I-week this week, initiation this Friday, Family Banquet on Sunday o Pi Beta Phi- Ali Kemp Band Stand: Self Defense Thursday at 3:45 with the concert following at 6:00 o Sigma Kappa- Retro Prom this Friday; I-week next week and initiation next Friday.
