Wendy Has Taught Agility Since 2005 to All Levels of Students, Including Beginners With

WENDY PARCIAK 2 DAY AGILITY SEMINAR … JUNE 8 & 9, 2013.. WILL BE HELD IN OTIS ORCHARDS, WA

Wendy has taught agility since 2005 to all levels of students, including beginners with their very first dogs, physically- disabled handlers, puppies, elderly dogs, and excellent-level handlers who have competed nationally. She loves using clicker training; shaping and play drive to help foster a close relationship between dog and handler, no matter what a person’s goals are!

Wendy has studied with many of the great coaches in the agility world, including Greg Derrett, Nancy Gyes, Stuart Mah, Guy Blanc, Kathy Leggett, Marcus Topps and Barb Davis. She herself is experienced at teaching others, in part because of her academic background and in part because of her dual roles as private agility instructor and head agility instructor at GoFetch! in Missoula, Montana.

Wendy has competed in agility for ten years in the three most common agility venues in this country (AKC, USDAA and NADAC). She has attended the USDAA Cynosport World Games and the AKC National Agility Championships (the latter three times with three different dogs). She and her border collie Tarzan were 6 th place AKC National Finalists and for two successive years were Semi-Finalists at the Cynosport World Games in the Grand Prix of Dog Agility World Championship and in the $10,000 Steeplechase Championship. Tarzan was the 2 nd-place Top-Scoring Dog at the USDAA Northwest Regional Championships, and is the first and only dog in Montana to have attained a MACH4 (four-time Master Agility Champion). Both Tarzan and Moth, Wendy’s newest rescue border collie, have won many Agility High in Class awards.

In her other life, Wendy is a mother and an award-winning author of fiction and creative non-fiction. She has also worked as a biologist and wilderness ranger for numerous federal agencies, and she attended the Juilliard School of Music.

Wendy’s dogs are MACH Tenzing (from the Missoula Humane Society; retired), MACH4 Tarzan MAD TM-Bronze SACH SCH TQX MXF EAC EJC EGC (now almost 12 years old and deaf, but still loving agility), and MACH Moth MXF (from Western Border Collie Rescue).
