The Italian Gelato Culture Festival will continue tomorrow at the OCT Harbour O’Plaza - Shenzhen, free entrance for the public, the announcement of the winner will be at 6:30pm

Shenzhen, China (August 6th, 2016) – The Gelato World Tour, the world's premiere cross- cultural artisanal gelato competition, set a new record. There are still long lines at the OCT Harbour O’Plaza Shenzhen: Chinese people love gelato. Everybody wants to taste the 16 flavours vying for the World’s Best Gelato title, and everyone also wants to vote for their favourite one. The workshops organized by Carpigiani Gelato University, Sigep – Rimini Expo and PreGel are fully booked. Each demonstration is tailored to teach people how to make artisan gelato and how to open a successful gelato shop. For the very first time in the history, during the Italian Gelato Culture Festival organized by Shanghai Nina Food with the partnership of Carpigiani Gelato University, Sigep Rimini Expo, PreGel, ISA, CiGusta, OCT Mall and Haier, counterfeit gelato-tickets have been printed out, showing just how much gelato is a “smart” business!

Thousands of visitors are watching the artisans while they are working in the Gelato Lab and creating amazing sensory-shocking flavours. Adults and children want to taste the bud-tingling flavours. In this free cultural event, which is open to the public, 16 gelato artisan teams from all over China are telling their stories and presenting their unique flavours to the public and to a jury of experts and journalists. The votes will be combined to award the best gelato flavour in China. Each Gelato Ticket costs 60RMB and allows for 6 tastings. You can find the complete list of the flavours below. Remember that Sunday is the last day of the competition.

The announcement of the winner will take place tomorrow at 6:30pm at the OCT Harbour O’Plaza. The top flavour and artisan will represent China at the Grand Finale of Gelato World Tour to be held in Rimini, Italy in 2017.
