Marriage Preparation Purpose: To distribute Communion at weekend liturgies. Eucharistic Ministers may also distribute Communion to shut-ins. Purpose: A required class by the Archdiocese to enlighten and prepare engaged couples for their life together as a married couple in Eligible: Normally by invitation, but anyone having a desire to be a the Catholic faith. Page 2 LITURGY AUXILIARY ORGANIZATIONS Readers/Lectors Young at Heart Group Purpose: To proclaim the Word of God during Mass. Purpose: Informal gathering of parishioners to share food and fun. Eligible: Anyone with a desire to proclaim the Word of God and who Eligible: Anyone who is 55 years young or above. has some ability to communicate this message to the parishioners. Visitation of the Sick The Altar/Ladies/Quilters Society

Purpose: To fulfill the spiritual needs of St. Michael’s parishioners. Purpose: To promote the spiritual welfare of the members; to foster friendship, goodwill, and cooperation among its members; Eligible: To visit and take the Holy Eucharist to the homebound. and to work together for the good of the parish and the community. Meetings: As necessary. Eligible: All ladies who are 18 years of age or older.

Meetings: As needed.

Comments: Proceeds earned by the Altar Society are donated to the church to assist in paying for the essential needs of the Mass. Quilts raffled at the Mother’s Day Bazaar and the Annual Fundraiser are made by the Altar Society.

Marriage Encounter Worship Planners

Purpose: To provide quality kindergarten, pre-K, child care (6 weeks Musicians to 6 years of age), before/after school care, and summer camp for children in the parish and in the community. Purpose: To lead the congregation in hymns, acclamations, and psalms sung during the Mass. Eligible: All families with children in the parish and in the community at large. Adult Faith Formation – Bible Study

Purpose: To further the faith life of our adult community through prayer, discussion, and Scripture study.

Eligible: Adult members of our community.

Meeting: Mondays at 7 pm; Tuesdays at 6 pm (Spanish).

Youth Faith Formation – Sunday

Purpose: To provide faith formation and sacrament preparation for Catholic children ages 3 through 12th grade.
