AREAS OF EXPERTISE. Possess thirty years of experience in areas like Reproductive Health/ MNCH, development and execution of National Health Information Systems and Disease Surveillance Program . This includes promotion of subjects relating Health Information Systems , Civil Vital Registration Systems , Monitoring and Evaluation. Have worked with UNICEF, JICA, USAID, ADB Programs. Fully conversant with national health care delivery system. Received US Government certificate for Sustained Extraordinary Performance of Work, while working USAID’s Pakistan Child Survival Program. Responsible for  promotion of National Health Information Systems.  Development and Promotion of Civil Vital Registration Systems.  Coordination for Global Initiative for Commission for Information & Accountability (COIA).  Coordinator WHOs Health Informatics/eHealth Initiative.  Development and capacity building in M&E Systems  Coordination for Human Resource Information System (HRIS)  Coordination for Health Systems Research. Accomplishments.  Facilitated Development and launch of DHIS in Pakistan (130 Distts)  National study on Review and Development of National Health Information Systems.  Drafted National Strategic Plan on Health Information for MOH.  Participated in Pakistan’s Health Systems Review 2007, 2012.  Participation with WB Team for Assessment of Public Health Surveillance.  Drafted National Strategic Plan on Disease Surveillance for MOH.  Development of National Feedback Reports-, 2005,2006 ,2007, 2008, 2012  National Study on cause of Deaths 2010 (Analysis of 0.1 Million Cases)  Participation with WB Team on Assessment of District Health System. .  Worked with JSI/USAID for development of Curriculum on Use of information for Health Managers.  Development of National Report on Human Resources for Health.  Development of Human Resource Information System.  Implemented capacity building program on EmONC Monitoring in 31 districts.  Member WHO Team for review of National Health System 2012.

January 1996 - April .2001. (Ministry of Health) Coordinator , Health Information System/ M&E To improve efficiency in Planning, Management of the Health Services through establishing a Health Management Information System and Monitoring and Evaluation System.

July 15, 1995 to Dec. 1995 (Asian Development Bank) Project Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist Asian Development Bank’s- Pakistan Women Health Project of Ministry of Health.

Major Responsibilities: To assist a team of international consultants in the design of the Women’s Health Project by a participatory Development Process and using logical framework to improve the health, nutrition and the family welfare status of the rural women in Pakistan.

The project document was finally approved for funding through Asian Development Bank (ADB), and implementation started in 20 districts of Pakistan in July 2000.

Nov. 1991 – June . 1995. Provincial Chief (PCSP/ USAID) Pakistan Child Survival Program- USAID Directorate of Health Lahore Punjab. .

To supervise the development, coordination, implementation of USAID funded Child Survival Program in the Punjab province.

Design and Implementation of National Reproductive Health Care Project. Identification & formulation of Project Proposals. specially for the improvement/ extension of family planning , pre-natal, natal, post-natal reproductive health and child health services.
