2007 CARMEN MORESCHINI/ICGSA SCHOLARSHIPS
The Carmen Moreschini/ICGSA Scholarship program was established in 1990 to honor our first ICGSA president, Carmen Moreschini. The purpose of this scholarship is to award an ICGSA member a $500 scholarship to further an education-related degree that will help them stay in education and coaching fields.
Cindy Britten, Northwestern High School, member of ICGSA for 12 years, Head Boys and Girls Swimming Coach, Aquatics Director, Assistant Softball and Girls Soccer Coach, as well as assists the AD in supervising and hiring officials for both softball and soccer. Cindy is a member of the ICGSA Swimming committee, and she currently teaches physical education at Northwestern HS. Cindy will be pursuing Athletic Administration at Ball State University in summer of 2007.
Dave Patz, Ben Davis High School, member of ICGSA for 8 years, Head Boys and Girls Golf Coach and was an assistant Boys Basketball for coach for 11 years, Dave serves as the chairperson of the ICGSA Golf committee, and under his leadership our golf membership has increased and his committee developed new criteria to select District and State Coaches of the Year as well as developed an online survey for golf coaches which we are using as a model for other sport surveys. Dave currently teaches Math as Ben Davis HS. Dave will be taking on- line courses this spring and summer through Converse College in Spratanburg, South Carolina to renew his teaching license which will expire in 2009.
