Tool: Time Log

Auditing your own use of time can be enlightening, as you can discover hidden time wasters as well as discrepancies between critical organizational priorities and how you’re actually spending your time. To get the greatest value from this time log, start using it at the very beginning of your work day. We recommend using it for two or three days so that you have more data points to work with.

Instructions: 1. At the beginning of a day, complete section one. 2. Throughout the day, use section two to record the time you spend on tasks and which priority level the task is in. Then tally up the time in each category and reflect on the results.
