Job Summary: Develops programs to use on CMM for dimensional inspection of manufactured product. Uses CMM and other Monitoring and Measuring Equipment (M&ME) to inspect product for dimensional conformance according to production schedule. Reads and interprets Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) data. Complies with internal quality system, business policies, and regulatory requirements; supports business goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:  Reads and understands blueprints, travelers/routers, and work instructions including GD&T data on machine prints  Program and use CMM to perform in process or final layout on components and analyze features to GD&T requirements.  Works with and manipulates CAD models  Inspects, maintains, and logs preventative maintenance on equipment needed for inspection and machining.  Generate inspection reports and FAI reports.  Requires minimal supervision to plan and schedule workload according to production schedule to meet manufacturing needs.  Cleans work area, tools, and equipment at end of shift.  Performs other duties as assigned. . Qualifications / Requirements:  Ability to program and use CMM to measure features.  Ability to use computer programs to create inspection reports.  Working knowledge of GD&T and how to apply those requirements to create and inspect features.  Strong mathematical, analytical, writing and communication skills.  Proven history of completing paperwork accurately, legibly, and timely.  Must be able to read/write/speak English  Legal authorization to work in the US

Work Environment:  May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles, smoke (Not over OSHA Permissible Exposure Levels).  Safety training and equipment are provided by MPP in accordance with applicable law, industry standards and company policy.  Occasionally lifts 25 – 45lbs.
