Job Summary: Develops programs to use on CMM for dimensional inspection of manufactured product. Uses CMM and other Monitoring and Measuring Equipment (M&ME) to inspect product for dimensional conformance according to production schedule. Reads and interprets Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) data. Complies with internal quality system, business policies, and regulatory requirements; supports business goals and objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities: Reads and understands blueprints, travelers/routers, and work instructions including GD&T data on machine prints Program and use CMM to perform in process or final layout on components and analyze features to GD&T requirements. Works with and manipulates CAD models Inspects, maintains, and logs preventative maintenance on equipment needed for inspection and machining. Generate inspection reports and FAI reports. Requires minimal supervision to plan and schedule workload according to production schedule to meet manufacturing needs. Cleans work area, tools, and equipment at end of shift. Performs other duties as assigned. . Qualifications / Requirements: Ability to program and use CMM to measure features. Ability to use computer programs to create inspection reports. Working knowledge of GD&T and how to apply those requirements to create and inspect features. Strong mathematical, analytical, writing and communication skills. Proven history of completing paperwork accurately, legibly, and timely. Must be able to read/write/speak English Legal authorization to work in the US

Work Environment: May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles, smoke (Not over OSHA Permissible Exposure Levels). Safety training and equipment are provided by MPP in accordance with applicable law, industry standards and company policy. Occasionally lifts 25 – 45lbs.
