PictureMe@Curtin race – Terms and Conditions

1. Instructions on how to enter and other details contained within promotional advertisements for this competition form part of the conditions of entry.

2. By entering the competition, entrants agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.

3. The Terms and Conditions of this competition are governed by the laws of the State of Western Australia.

4. The competition is being run by Curtin University of Technology, GPO Box U1987, Perth, Western Australia, 6845 (“Curtin”).

5. The PictureMe@Curtin (“the race”) commences at 9 am Australian Western Standard Time (AWST) on Sunday 2 August 2014.

6. The closing time for entering the competition is 4 pm AWST on Sunday 2 August 2014.

7. Entry to the competition is limited to students and visitors of Curtin Open Day 2014 at the Curtin Bentley campus.

8. To enter the competition, the entrant must:

(a.a) Have a mobile phone with a built in camera

(a.b) download the Instagram and/or Facebook app for Android or iPhone and be aware of this application’s Terms of Use Instagram; Terms of service Facebook

(a.c) upload their photo to Facebook or Instagram using #curtinselfie (your privacy settings must be set to ‘public’ for us to retrieve your photo); and

(a.d) fill out the online form (http://news.curtin.edu.au/events/open-day-picture-me/ with their full name, phone number, email address; and

(a.e) collect their race pack on the Open Day event at the Curtin International booth which will include instructions for the race day.

9. Entry to the competition is free. Entrants will be responsible for all costs associated with entering the competition, which may include costs associated with accessing the internet.

10. Staff employed by Curtin and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter the competition.

11. Images and videos submitted to the competition must not be illegal, fraudulent, sexist, racist, discriminatory, misleading or deceptive, defamatory, obscene or offensive, inappropriate for people under the age of 18, off-topic, or negatively impact on the Curtin brand (as determined by Curtin). Entries that breach the listed entry restrictions above may be deemed invalid, at Curtin’s sole and absolute discretion.

12. There will be one hundred (100) prizes for the first 100 to return with all 4 pictures taken with 4 PictureMe@Curtin standees (one of each faculty colour) around the Curtin Bentley campus. This prize will be a $10 Coles/Myer gift card ($10 AUD). 13. Curtin will give out 250 race packs on the event day and the first 100 to return to the Curtin International booth with the pictures successfully taken and/or uploaded on Facebook and Instagram by 4pm AWST on Sunday 2 August 2014 will win the prize.

14. All unclaimed prizes will be deemed property of Curtin International.

15. If the prize winner is under the age of 18 years, the prize will be awarded to the winner’s parent or legal guardian.

16. The prize winner will be responsible for all costs associated with collecting and using the prize.

17. By entering the competition the entrant agrees that they are over the age of 18 years, or if under the age of 18 years, have their parent’s or legal guardian’s consent to enter the competition.

18. By entering this competition, entrants give Curtin the nonexclusive, royalty free transferable license to use any material submitted as part of this entry for the purposes of conducting and promoting this competition in all media known or later devised, in perpetuity.

19. The prize is not redeemable for cash or an alternative prize.

20. The prize is not transferrable.

21. Pictures from the event may published on the Curtin website and on the official Curtin Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Instagram accounts. By entering the competition, entrants grant Curtin permission to use their pictures taken on the event day on its website and Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Instagram accounts in perpetuity.

22. Curtin is not responsible in any manner whatsoever for any problems or any financial costs incurred, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants or any other persons related to or resulting from participation in this competition.

23. Curtin accepts no responsibility and shall not be held legally liable or responsible for any accident, loss, injury or damage to any individual or property whether direct or indirect, whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise arising out of or in connection with the competition or the prize, either during or after the competition.

24. Entry into the competition signifies acceptance of all conditions. Entrants are required to abide by the Terms and Conditions as presented.

25. Curtin's decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

26. Personal information provided by an entrant to Curtin for the purpose of entering the Competition will be collected, used and disclosed in accordance with Curtin’s Privacy Statement. A copy of the privacy statement is available at http://global.curtin.edu.au/legal/privacy.cfm. Personal information collected will be kept strictly confidential and will not be sold, reused, rented, loaned or otherwise disclosed to any third party otherwise than in accordance with the Curtin privacy statement and these Terms and Conditions.

27. The promotion of this competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Instagram. Each entrant or participant must have a complete release of Facebook and Instagram.

Complete the PictureMe@Curtin race by racing around campus on Open Day 2015 and take 4 pictures with the 4 different coloured standees and upload your pics for your chance to win a prize!
