Theme: Welcome to Preschool

 Important Dates: What We are Learning st Aug 28 – First Day of School Welcome! Throughout our first week (and first Sept 4th – Labor Day, No School month), the children will work on learning the Sept 19th – NO SCHOOL due to a Teacher basic routines of the classroom as well as Training following a schedule. We will work on Sept 22nd - Homecoming learning the rules of the classroom and the playground, learn bathroom procedures, practice following directions, make new friends and explore classroom materials.

Large Group Small Groups Mon: First Day Feelings The children will rotate through different Tues: Discuss Classroom/Carpet Rules activities this week including: Wed: Monkey See Monkey Do Name Game First day/week dictations, make Pete the Cat hats, Thurs: Pete the Cat Goes Missing! School Tour learn bathroom procedures and recess rules, name writing & self-portraits, cutting practice/holding scissors correctly, color/shape bingo

REMINDERS:

Preschool is Monday – Thursday. No Preschool Home Connection: on Fridays. Clarke gets out early every  Be sure to check your child’s Wednesday but we will still have afternoon communication folder in his/her backpack preschool until 3:00 as usual! every day.  Many of you have been added to receive the REMIND service for our classroom to September 19, 2017 classes receive notices and reminders via text.
