Culture Project Description: What is your culture? What is your family’s culture? How would you describe your culture after learning about the 8 elements of culture in class? Your job will be to find 8 pictures that describe your own 8 elements of American Culture. Then you will write a paragraph about each of the 8 elements describing your American Culture.

Picture Instructions: Find an example of each of the 8 elements of YOUR OWN AMERICAN culture in magazine pictures, computer images, and/or photographs. Cut them out and creatively organize them on a piece of paper in a collage or display them in a little booklet (you can be as creative as you would like!). You will also have to justify why you chose the images for each element of culture.

Written Instructions: You must write a paragraph explaining each of the 8 elements of YOUR OWN AMERICAN culture. Paragraphs should explain how each picture represents the cultural element and any additional information you want to share about your culture. Please type your written portion. This written portion may be included on the picture collage or may be stapled to the project separately (if separate, then the pictures must be clearly labeled for each of the 8 elements).
