Support is defined as follows:
The firmware combinations that are listed in the support matrix have gone through full qualification process with defined CPU and operating systems. To identify your CPU version see: http://na.support.keysight.com/pna/cputype.html
For firmware defects that are found in the supported firmware revisions, Keysight will actively verify and define the solution. The solution may be in the form of a measurement or programming process change or require an upgrade to revised firmware revision. This may require upgrading to the current operating system and CPU. Keysight may choose not to address some non-critical defects. Keysight is not responsible for validating and correcting defects in firmware revisions that are not listed in the support matrix.
Long term supportability is obtained by upgrading to newer firmware revisions, operating systems, and CPU. In some cases, a model change upgrade may be required.
Upgradeability to obtain new features or capability may require a hardware or operating system change at cost to the customer.
It is Keysight’s intent to maintain backwards compatibility where reasonably possible. At our discretion, backwards compatibility may be broken to implement new feature sets, maintain industry standards, and incorporate new operating systems or CPU assemblies.
Note: Customers are encouraged to install the latest Microsoft updates as they are released in order to minimize security concerns. While not listed above, customers should also have no problem installing the latest service packs for XP and/or Windows 7. Installation of service packs should be delayed until about a month after release in order to allow Keysight time to review any issues. Any problems will be listed on this website: http://na.support.keysight.com/pna.
