SOUTHWEST FLORIDA YACHTS ADDS 41-FOOT SP CRUISER TO FLEET
Blends Joy of Sailing with Trawler Comforts
Cape Coral, Florida – (April 8, 2014) – Southwest Florida Yachts has added “Half Shell” – an Island Packet 41 Motorsailer – to its charter fleet based at Tarpon Point Marina here.
“Half Shell” -- brings the joy of sailing together with the comforts of a trawler in a motorsailer design,” said Southwest Florida Yachts’ Co-Owner Barb Hansen. “Her layout features a raised saloon in the doghouse, featuring an L-shaped dinette and two captain’s chairs, master cabin with centerline queen berth, guest cabin with twin bunks, head and full galley.”
Featuring a full keel for solid, comfortable cruising, this latest Southwest Florida Yachts Charter Fleet addition has a sloop rig with roller furling on the main and jib sails. Power comes from a 100-horsepower Yanmar diesel and “Half Shell” also has an 8kw generator, air conditioning refrigeration, an inverter and Raymarine electronics, including Autopilot, GPS, Wind Instruments, Radar and stereo with CD player. She also comes with a Walker Bay dinghy and 9.8 Tohatsu 4-stroke outboard on davits for easy access.
Winter rates through April 30 for chartering “Half Shell” are $3,694 per week. Summer charters are $2,956 weekly. Charterers this year qualify for Southwest Florida Yachts’ 30-year anniversary “present” which for charters through April 30 of three-days or longer is one free day. Charters of three-days or longer through the summer season, which ends December 14, enjoy two free days.
