Planning Your Incentive Design

The A Healthier You portal points program is a powerful engagement tool in which certain behaviors and actions result in a certain number of points. These points can be redeemed for multiple entries to sweepstakes and accrued for internal employer-sponsored rewards such as premium differentials, health savings account contributions, or merchandise awards (mugs, t-shirts, activity trackers, etc).

The website provide easy navigation of the portal by prompting members to complete specific actions based on their health goals. The vertical navigation bar on the right hand side of the dashboard provides an easy link to “What’s Next” which will promote engagement opportunities that encourage members to stay informed and participate in the A Healthier You program

Best practices for incentive design are for the participant to engage in the program, complete care plans and health actions while improving their health. Below is an illustration of how an employer can use the portal to support completion of certain activities such as the Health Risk Assessment and establish a points-based initiative.
