I. Description A. Right of Way Surveys includes all surveying duties, both field and office, needed for the development of a final right of way base map. Field work includes field location of alignment, property, and right of way monuments. Office work includes data processing, computations, research of old records, spotting title ownership, reviewing and interpreting legal documents, and base map preparation.

II. Standards and Specifications Standards and specifications required for a project under this work type may include the following: A. Work must comply with Department standards, local and state statutes and laws on surveying.

III. Provided By MnDOT Information to be supplied by MnDOT for a project may include the following: A. MnDOT Geodetic Database B. MnDOT District Database C. MnDOT Surveying and Mapping Manuel D. MnDOT Right of Way Manuel E. MnDOT Technical Manuel F. MnDOT Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) Data Standards Manual G. Minnesota Land Surveying Statutes H. MnDOT records

IV. Provided by Consultant Deliverables to be supplied by the consultant for a project may include the following: A. Right of way base map and survey report. B. Specific examples of deliverables: a. Certified base map signed by a Licensed Land Surveyor. b. Certified survey report signed by a Licensed Land Surveyor. c. Base map is to be both electronic, per MnDOT standards, and hard copy. d. The survey report is to be a bound report.

Work Type Submittal Requirements

A consultant firm becomes pre-qualified based on the qualifications of the personnel that are employed by the firm and by meeting the demonstrated equipment and CADD requirements. Key Personnel Requirements Minimum Number of  One professional Land Surveyor, licensed in Minnesota, Staff: having demonstrated experience in Right of Way surveys.  One crew chief having demonstrated experience in Right of Way surveys. Professional  Professional must be a Minnesota Board Licensed Land Certification/Licensure: Surveyor with the Minnesota State Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design (AELSLAGID). Work Type Submittal Requirements* I. Resume and A. Complete Parts, 1, 1A, and 2 of form PQ1 Relevant Project Part 1: Fill out general information and names of Experience Form personnel, including other professional and technical support personnel. (Form PQ1)

Submit in Word Part 1A: Fill out for each person listed in Part 1. Experience of the qualified staff must be demonstrated by format reference to a minimum of two completed projects in the last three years (maximum of five).  The survey crew chief must have satisfactory experience demonstrated on at least two projects in the last three years in all aspects of survey fieldwork.  The Land Surveyor must demonstrate a minimum of two years’ experience in field and office duties.  Must show a minimum two years demonstrated experience and knowledge in all aspects of processing and submitting data in a CADD environment.

Part 2: Project Examples listed must correlate to those described below in “ Project Example Requirements”

II. Project Example A. Submit two projects in the last three years that show all Requirements aspects of highway right of way recovery, computations, datums, monumentation, and documentation. Create a CD or flash drive that includes the following individual files or folders in this order:

I. Resume and Relevant Project Experience Form (Form PQ1) II. Project Example Requirements (this should be a folder that includes individual files clearly named according to Part 2 of the PQ1) III. Proof of Professional Certification/Licensure IV. CADD Requirements

Each file should be saved in the format identified above. Submit 5 copies of the CD or flash drive.
