Monday, August 8, 2011, is Dobson’s Open House. Open House will be held before school starts. Open House allows students and parents to tour campus, meet teachers, and have questions answered before the school year begins. Students, parents, families and others are encouraged to stop by the school that evening.

Open House officially begins at 6:30 PM. Each family will begin the evening in their child’s first hour class. Families will follow their child’s schedule with a designated amount of time for each period.

The Governing Board has defined “good standing” as 12th grade students who are taking enough classes to qualify and who plan to graduate in May of 2012. Therefore, all 12th grade students who have senior class status will be issued an ID card that allows them to leave campus unless a parent requests that their student not be allowed to leave. Please see Non-Release form below.

Leaving campus is a privilege, and the privilege will be revoked if the guidelines for behavior are not followed. A senior student may lose their off-campus privileges by:  transporting an underclassman off campus in a vehicle.  transporting another senior who does not possess proper ID.  driving and parking cars without an appropriate school parking permit.  not exiting and entering campus through the established school day entrances/exits. During the school day, all entering and exiting of campus must be through the stairways located in the northeast and northwest parking lots. The other parking areas on campus are off-limits to all students except before and after school or with the school’s permission.  violation of other school rules.
