Bio of Mrs. Delores Seaths Body
Mrs. Delores Seaths Body was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is where she received her primary and secondary education. Mrs. Body is a retired vocal music teacher. She graduated from Marian College in Indianapolis with a B.A. major with an emphasis in piano. After that she received a Masters Degree in Music History from Butler University, also in Indianapolis. Further studies were done at the University of Hawaii on a 64 day study tour for teachers and a special seminar at the University of Colorado, Denver and a grant at the University of Pennsylvania. Delores taught vocal music in Indianapolis for six years at two schools, grades 6, 7 & 8. She moved to Los Angeles, California in 1969 to get married where she became affiliated with the LAUSD. At Byrd Junior High in Sun Valley, California, she taught music to grades 7 thru 9. From there she went to Edison Junior High where she taught vocal music/choir to grades 7 thru 9. After many years of teaching Delores retired in June, 1995. She was the organist at the Lincoln Memorial Congregational Church for many years under the leadership of then pastor, Rev. Galloway, until his death. Currently she is busy playing for weddings at her church, funerals of close friends and lunches for various organizations, some of which she is member. Delores joined Georgia Laster Branch in 2008 and recently shared her piano talents with us at our Membership Reception. In her spare time she works with NAUW, Holy Spirit group (Catholic Church) and Friends of Lula Washington organization and is president of the Sr. Club at Lincoln Memorial.

IT’S THAT TIME OF THE YEAR AGAIN!!! MEMBERSHIP DUES ARE DUE NOW!!!!!
Our fiscal year begins July 1, 2010 and will go thru June 30, 2011. Our President requests that all members make an effort to pay their dues in a timely manner. We would like to remind you that the rate has been increased to $75.00 for regular membership and $35.00 for Life members. The National President asks that we get our dues into the National office no later than October 31 of each year. If you have any questions regarding anything pertaining to membership please contact the membership chairperson, Danellen Joseph, (323) 737-0137. Remember, you may pay in installments if necessary! Just let the Financial Secretary know and make arrangements with her. Thank you for your continued support.
