If you propose to engage in any outside activity or have a potential conflict of interest, you shall notify your supervisor in writing (using the proper University of Florida forms) prior to engaging in these activities. Such notification must be done annually (effective July 1, for future academic years) for as long as you continue to engage in such activity or have such conflict of interest.

This condition is not applicable to U.S. citizens. This offer is contingent upon your eligibility to work under the provisions of the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, as amended. If you are a nonresident alien, the University, as your prospective employer, will assist you as necessary and appropriate to obtain the required employment authorization to permit you to begin work at the University of Florida. After you have joined us, the University will assist you as necessary and appropriate to obtain an employment-based immigration preference classification in order for you to become a permanent resident of the U.S. The University, however, cannot guarantee that either employment authorization or permanent resident status will be granted because that determination rests with the Immigration and Naturalization Service. In order to attain tenure or permanent status (county faculty), a tenure permanent status track faculty member must hold permanent resident status.

9. In the performance of the contract, both parties are subject to the Constitution and the laws of the State of Florida, the rules and regulations of the University of Florida and its governing body, and the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences.
