Surrey Team Knockout Winter 2017/18

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY:

To ensure you do not field INELIGIBLE players in your Grade A/B event, please read as follows:

 Grade A: Open to all players  Grade B: ONLY open to players playing in DIVISION 7 and below in the Winter ‘16/17 and Summer ‘17 season. (Teams promoted from Division 7 must play in Grade A Knockout Competition in 2017)

Grade B of the Men’s and Ladies’ Knockout team events are restricted to players who have not represented their Country or County at senior level over the past 5 years. Teams that have won the Grade B event in the previous season (Summer 2017) are not eligible to compete at Grade B for the next season.

FORMAT:

The format for all Open and Senior Team Knockout events will be 2 Tie-Break sets followed at set all by a Champions Tie- Break. In the event of a tie, the result will be based on the round 1v1 and 2v2. If the scores are still level the result to be decided by 1v1.

RULES: a) If a team cancels a match within 72 hours of the scheduled start time, without good reason, it risks forfeiting that match in favour of its opponents. b) Clubs arriving to play a match with less than a full team will forfeit that match (unless very special circumstances prevail) c) Clubs are asked to observe the traditional courtesies and must confirm refreshment arrangements when confirming the match, but drinks must be provided as a minimum. d) Should team captains change during the Summer PLEASE advise your organiser. e) The winning team is responsible for reporting the match result to your organiser.
