DAILY BIBLE STUDY – QUESTIONS FOR GROUP DISCUSSION

Day 1: Read Proverbs 2:1–5 1) According to today's verse and Psalm 19:7-8, why is it critical for children to seek after godly wisdom and understand God's truths?

2) Read Judges 2:7-14. What warning does the passage from Judges provide if parents don't invest in teaching biblical truths to their children?

Day 2: Read Proverbs 7:1-5 3) How is your time in the word? What are you doing to increase your knowledge of biblical truth?

4) Read Deuteronomy 6:6-9. What steps can you take to more actively and purposefully impart biblical information to your kids or grandkids?

Day 3: Read Proverbs 3:5 5) How is your prayer life? What is the best time of day for you to spend in focused prayer?

6) When in your day could you add brief times of prayer with your kids (or other family members)?

Day 4: Read Proverbs 23:26 7) Read Proverbs 3:9. How are you teaching your children to be obedient in giving to the church?

8) Read 1Timothy 6:17-19. What are some of the benefits of teaching kids to be generous with money?

Day 5: Read Philippians 3:17 9) Children will pick up good or bad habits from their fathers depending on how they lead the family. Read Hebrews 10:25. What are your common excuses to skip church?

10) Children will always learn from example. Read Romans 12:1 and 1 Peter 4:10. In what capacity are you sacrificially serving the church?

Day 6: Read Proverbs 22:6 11) Scenario Question: It is summer now and your 14 year old daughter is ready to move up into the High School Ministry at church. The biggest event of the year is attending the church summer camp; however your daughter doesn’t want to attend. What responses would you have for your child who didn't want to attend the church summer camp?

I won't know any one there.

I am going to get home sick.

You can't make me go.

I don't like the teaching or activities.
