Big Apple Ranch Beneficiary Application

c/o Dance Manhattan 39 W. 19th Street, 5th Floor New York, NY 10011 Big Apple Ranch Beneficiary Application (7/11) www.bigappleranch.com 212-358-5752

Thanks for your interest in being a beneficiary of a Big Apple Ranch event. Big Apple Ranch is New York City’s only weekly country-western dance party, where women can lead, men can follow, and everything in-between. We dance every Saturday at 39 W. 19th Street, in the Dance Manhattan dance studio. The evening begins at 8 p.m. with a beginning two step class and line dance lesson, and we dance until 1 am.

We hold special events to benefit charitable organizations that serve the LGBT community. The money raised for your organization is directly linked to attendance, as the donation consists of all proceeds after expenses are covered. The more people you bring in, the more funds you’ll receive!

For your organization to be a beneficiary, it must: 1) Be a 501(c)3 non-profit; 2) Be willing and able to help publicize the event so that approximately 50 (fifty!) new people attend; 3) Send a representative to speak at the event; and

We strongly prefer groups that serve and include both women and men. The application process is competitive; we select the groups that best meet the criteria above. Once we receive your application, we’ll be in touch.

If your group is selected as a beneficiary, the group: 1) Will receive two complimentary entrances to the event; 2) Is expected to attract at least 50 (fifty!) people to the event; 3) Will be provided with space to hang a banner and a table to display literature; 4) Representative should show up at 8 p.m. the evening of the event with the banner and materials; and 5) Representative will be invited to speak to the audience at approximately 11 pm.
