Foreign language secondary school ROMASHKA is a primary school and kindergarten, was established in 1999 by D. Oyunchimeg. The main goal of the school is to enable Mongolian children and students study foreign languages (Russian, Chinese, English) at secondary school levels, teach children using international programs, give more knowledges, experience, provide with better environment and become a bridge to international universities after graduation. Currently all lessons are taught in Russian and Chinese languages by Russian and Chinese teachers, using programs used in schools of Russia and China. Additionally Mongolian history, language and literature taught in Mongolian, also English language is taught by teacher from USA. Therefore we hope to see graduated children to become able to study forward and use foreign languages in their lives. Also we opened kindergarten in 2011 with 1.5-2, 2-3 (with Mongolian teacher) and 4-5 years (with Russian and English teachers) classes.

In order of preference, please list the countries you would like to establish a sister school relationship in: Australia, USA, UK

Please provide a brief explanation outlining why you wish to establish a sister school relationship in these countries:

Australia is a leading country that provides with good education and we know that your country is very focused on children’s education, which will lead the country in future. We want to bring this into Mongolia and help Mongolia to develop with the knowledge of today’s new generation. What learning activities and projects will your schools students and/or teachers engage in with your sister school? We would like to establish a sister school in Mongolia, because we want to bring Australian culture, programs, experience and knowledge to Mongolian children and become an example school in Mongolia that provides with good education and care. In 2012 complex Romashka has built its own building for the school and has prepared good condition for the children. Therefore we are in the way to expand our foreign relations and become sister school and implement international practices and have many more ideas such as: - Introduce and implement Australian educational system, practice - Invite Australian teachers and teach Mongolian children - Become branch school, kindergarten - Student exchange program - Scholarship program to Australia - Educate and train Mongolian teachers and managers in schools of Australia, give them experience and practice - Summer program in Australia - Kindergarten development - Improvement in current environment - Toy, book, furniture donation

What other activities does your school propose to undertake to implement the program? Our school is looking for a school that can support us on implementing ideas that are listed above. Any offer, support, idea is welcomed for us for further discussion. Also we cooperate with “Golden Pen – Education” Foundation that provides us with number of children who are unable to study due to the family problem, financial situation and orphan children. We support those children and provide with learning environment and some materials so that they can at least catch up studies they missed.

What financial and other resources is the school prepared to commit to this program?

We will provide with a place to study, environment, books and other materials. Also if teachers from Australia will come to Mongolia to introduce their experience and support, we will provide with a place to live and working environment.

How will the program be managed by the school?

All teachers and management will support the program to be implemented.

How does your school intend to evaluate the effectiveness and benefits of the program to the school? Effectiveness will be evaluated based on product. Which means educated children, satisfied parents and reputation of the school will show the benefits.
