Volunteering Opportunities available in West Lancashire

Do you have a few hours to spare and want to volunteer?

West Lancashire Volunteer Centre recruits volunteers for over 200 hundred organisations and so there is a wide range of volunteering opportunities available.

Garden Maintenance/Horticultural Volunteer Volunteers required to help maintain the grounds, agriculture and horticulture of the Eco Centre. (WL730)

Helpdesk Advisor Volunteer Advisor tasks to include: Answering the main telephone line, record client details on database. Deal with queries, update the messaging system and greet visitors who are new to the organisation (WL44)

Volunteer Retail Assistant We are looking for volunteers to help in a new shop and gain valuable experience in all aspects of retail. Duties to include serving customers, taking receipt of stock donations, sorting and steaming and replenishing stock. Training will be given (WL1094)

General Administration Volunteers required to greet visitors to the organisation, photocopy and scan documents. Ensure office is stocked with stationery supplies and the kitchen area is clean and tidy. (WL1096)

Summer Seasonal Activities Volunteer Volunteers are needed to lead summer holiday activities, Nature Explorers, including Lego Workshops. Also to help lead pond dipping or mini-beast hunt activities and to guide visitors around the site. (WL1090)

Volunteer Mentor Volunteers wanted to work with males aged 26+ providing one to one support on housing, benefits, education, paid and voluntary work and community activities to people attending mentoring support sessions. (WL1038)

Kids’ Club Volunteer Volunteers are required to help at the Club with supervision of children, maintain register, run Tuck Shop, help set up and pack away and prepare and arrange games/activities. (WL1083)
