Oliver Wight Scores in South Africa with Assist from New Signing

Press Release 1st June 2010

Oliver Wight scores in South Africa with assist from new signing

Following a period of substantial growth, business improvement specialist Oliver Wight has expanded its operations in South Africa with the appointment of new consultant, Sean du Sart.

Oliver Wight EAME has seen its business in South Africa more than double over the last three years and it is now working with a significant number of blue chip organisations based there. Oliver Wight Partner, Lloyd Snowden says, “There is growing recognition among organisations in South Africa of what they can do to compete more effectively on the global stage; they are keen to take the right steps and the Oliver Wight offering is of great interest to them.”

Sean du Sart is the latest consultant to join the Oliver Wight EAME team and he will be based in Johannesburg. Prior to joining Oliver Wight, he worked as an independent consultant, implementing project management capabilities into a wide variety of South African businesses - from the financial, local government and insurance sectors, to transport, logistics and telecommunications.

Previously, du Sart was the Class A implementation leader and demand manager for Abbott Laboratories, South Africa. He successfully led the organisation to Oliver Wight Class A, as part of a global Abbott initiative to implement Oliver Wight’s Integrated Business Planning (IBP). He believes the experience built working with an extensive client base will prove invaluable in his new position.

“I hope to use the skills gained in my previous roles and my first-hand knowledge of Oliver Wight IBP, to support clients in challenging the status quo and driving for superior, sustainable business improvements,” he says.

Du Sart’s appointment in South Africa is part of a wider company expansion by Oliver Wight EAME. Last month the business improvement specialist announced the appointment of France-based consultant Catherine Schmitt-Weber. Notes to editors
