Application features - Journaling
8.21 Cloud Collaboration Journaling is an add-on that records all email communications through Exchange as they happen and stores them in a designated mailbox controlled by your Exchange server.
8.22 Targeted journal rules can be set using the Exchange Admin Center by specifying the recipient’s SMTP address. The recipient can be:
(a) an Exchange mailbox;
(b) a distribution group; or
(c) a contact.
8.23 All messages sent to or from the specified recipient are stored.
8.24 If a distribution group is specified as a journaling recipient, all messages sent to and from members in the distribution group are stored. If a journaling recipient is not specified, all messages sent to or from recipients that match the journal rule scope are stored.
8.25 Journaling is offered in two options:
(a) Standard Journaling;
(b) Premium Journaling.
8.26 Standard Journaling is configured on all mailbox databases configured in the solution. It enables the journaling agent to journal all messages sent to and from Cloud Collaboration Microsoft Exchange solution mailboxes.
8.27 Premium journaling enables the journaling agent to perform more granular journaling by using journal rules. Instead of journaling all mailboxes on all Cloud Collaboration - Microsoft Exchange databases, journal rules can be configured. You must have an Enterprise license to use premium journaling.
Software
8.28 To access Personal Archive through an Outlook desktop client, you need to have a current license for compatible version of Office Professional Plus through Microsoft volume licensing. We can notify you of the compatible versions on request.
