FREE Regional Workshop in Duval County…Jacksonville! Teaching Children with Autism to Read with Direct Instruction

March 14, 2006 9:00a.m. – 4:00p.m. All Saints Early Learning and Community Care Center 4171 Hendricks Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida 32207 Registration begins at 8:30a.m.

In this workshop, educators and family members will learn how to utilize a Direct Instruction beginning reading program entitled Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons. This curriculum is a modified version of the research validated Reading Mastery Fast Cycle program. Using the Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons, participants will learn how to teach the two critical beginning reading skills of phonemic awareness and phonics. A copy of the Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons will be given to each workshop participant.
