Asia’s First LFP World Challenge 2014 – Hong Kong Station

Being the administer of Spain’s La Liga - one of the most popular professional sports leagues in the world, the Liga de Fútbol Profesional (LFP) unveiled the LFP World Challenge in 2014, making Hong Kong the first match of Chinese leg of the Asian tour, which is also the only triangular match of World Challenge Asia Tour.

The Chinese leg of the 2014 Tour will kick off in Hong Kong’s Mong Kok Stadium on 28 May 2014 (Wednesday), with the participation of Valencia CF, Villarreal CF, and Hong Kong Biu Chun Rangers.

Experience the fascination of Spanish football

Celebrating the 85th anniversary of the league and creating a joint between Spanish sports events and international cultural promotion, LFP unveiled the LFP World Challenge Tour this year.

The LFP World Challenge series have begun in Asia with the games in Challenge stage (promotional matches), while a unique triangular tournament will be taking place in Hong Kong, with Valencia CF and Villarreal CF heading the bill. These two iconic teams in La Liga will be participating in the tournament while against Hong Kong Biu Chun Rangers in Hong Kong's Mong Kok Stadium on 28 May 2014 (Wednesday). Each match will last for 45 minutes, after which a Champion trophy will be presented. “LFP World Challenge Asian Tour 2014” definitely is the best opportunity to experience the Spanish football in Hong Kong.

The LFP World Challenge, combines business and gastronomic activities with an international football tournament which makes it an exciting sports and cultural event. In order to promote football sports, the programme will be carried out in a 3-year period between the 2014/15 and the 2016/17 seasons. During these three seasons, teams of the Spanish Professional Football League will be competing against other champions around the world.
