Purpose of job: To provide administrative and promotional support for arts team delivering a wide range of activities from visit arrangement and large-scale public event.

Context and environment:

Arts Programme aims to make contribution for stronger creative sectors across the world that are better connected with the UK. Arts Team works in seven arts forms i.e. visual art, theatre & dance, film, architecture, fashion & design, creative economy, literature and music and runs a wide range of programme of presentation of UK works, organise exchange programme and support collaborations partnering up with a number of UK and Korea organisations and individuals.

has two permanent staff and Arts Assistant reports to Arts Manager.

Accountabilities, responsibilities and main duties:

1 (30%) Administration  Administer financial transactions and payment to vendors through FABS and report to programme managers  Maintain Arts contact database  Manage information created and received in compliance with British Council’s information management standards, policies, and the UK Data Protection Principles and local legislation.

2 (40%) Project delivery assistance  Assist preparation and delivery of programme activities making arrangements including booking transportation, flight, hotel, venue, production of promotional materials and so on  Prepare, collect and input scorecard survey and consent form before and after events  Ensure British Council’s EDI standards are met and reflected in programme activities

3 (30%) Communication

 Update event calendars  Assist the marketing and promotion of the projects including circulating invitations to events and following-up  Provide news items for monthly e-newsletter  Maintain British Council Korea Arts’ facebook and web pages and engage audience through them  Handle arts email and telephone enquiries  Assist Director Arts and Arts Manager in preparation of documents for communication with partners
