Native Garden This garden displays trees, shrubs and perennials native to the Eastern United States. The plantings border the former turf research area developed as a small golf course. Worrilow Hall Garden Begun in 1988 to further extend plant collections for teaching purposes, a series of curvilinear mounds and beds display an extensive collection of viburnums, witchhazels, native magnolias, and hornbeams. Also tucked into this garden are a number of rare shrubs and trees seldom seen in gardens and landscapes. Charles Dunham Entrance Garden Named in honor of Dr. Dunham who taught at the University from 1954 to 1984 and co- founded the UDBG with Dr. Richard Lighty, this garden provides a shady and restful spot.
