Reports to: Catering Manager
Job Role Summary:
Bar staff are to serve drinks and coffee in the Bar and Lounge areas. You will be expected to serve all alcoholic drinks in a timely and professional manner. As a bar person you will be using a barista machine and will be expected to produce high quality coffee including lattes, cappuccinos and macchiatos. You will also serve light meals snacks and cakes, and assist customers in all aspects.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
preparing stock ready for opening taking customer orders and payments serving alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and coffee. preparing and serving sandwiches , cakes and pastries cleaning and tidying work areas, equipment and coffee machines creating displays of stock doing stock checks and ordering new stock changing barrels and keeping beer store and wine cellar clean, tidy and secure at all times cleaning and tidying the bar and surrounding area before opening and closing Clearing and cleaning of bar lounge and café areas To ensure hygiene standards are of the highest level Carry out your responsibilities in a professional manner at all times. To ensure customer service is of the highest standard at all times. To assist in the Restaurant/Lounge where required
Qualifications and experience required:
Level Two Food Safety( preferred )
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
The ability to use a till in an effective manner, including balancing cash is crucial
The ability to maintain good working relationships within a team operation.
Operational knowledge of safety procedures
