CLEAN ENERGY VIDEO – SCRIPT

Our goal is by 2022 to have 80% of our electricity generated by solar, and that’s what we are working towards with NAB, to be able to achieve that outcome.

We are committing to undertake $18bn of financing activity to help transition Australia to a low- carbon economy and support climate change.

Clean Energy is an integral part of our Business. The combination of some of the best wind and solar resources in the world, rapidly falling technology costs and bipartisan support for renewable energy provides Australia with a tremendous opportunity to decarbonise the electricity sector.

We believe the assessment of climate change risks is an important part of our decision-making process

We are committed to assisting our customers and communities in the orderly transition to a low- carbon economy, and supporting our communities & the environment

In practice, this has meant the build out of renewables projects – attracting investment to the local community, creating jobs and importantly delivering clean power.

Clean Energy Finance is one of NAB’s key Shared Value Initiatives.

Shared Value is a business strategy that delivers strong financial outcomes while delivering positive societal or environmental value.

At NAB we are committed to the internationally agreed goal to limit climate change to less than 2 degrees Celsius.

Supporting a strong renewable energy sector by providing clean energy finance makes good business sense and enables us to play our part in the transition to a low carbon economy.

It also plays an important role in realising NAB’s vision to be Australia and New Zealand’s most respected bank and our brand promise ‘more than money’.

We have supported the renewable industry from the beginning and will continue to support our customers in the future.

We are assisting our customers to deliver the outcomes that they want to achieve and importantly it’s doing great for the environment and the local community.

Goldwind is very pleased to have been selected by Origin Energy to deliver the Stockyard Hill wind Farm that will produce enough energy for around 400,000 Victorian homes. National Australia Bank has a very good understanding of Goldwind, our products and that we can deliver projects successfully in the Australian market.

Stockyard Hill is the largest wind site in this country, and that site is ready to go, to be developed. There is no doubt in my mind that renewables are here to stay. They are going to be a big part of the energy mix going forward. We’ve actually purchased 1200 megawatts of renewables over the last year, being both wind and solar. We plan to grow our solar infrastructure over the next 2-3 years to be 80% of our electricity generated by solar.

Thank you for letting us assist you in the journey to a low carbon economy.

Thank you to all our customers over the years.

Thank you to all our customers over the years, allowing us to assist you along that journey to a low carbon economy.
