GENERAL MEETING: Thursday 21 st January 2016

Those present: Mrs. Goodman, Mr. Penfold, Mr. Fitzhugh, Mrs. Moorey , Mr. Ward Miss. Probert & Mrs. Quinney Apologies: Mrs. Cottingham & Mr. Waddilove

The Vice Chairman opened the meeting and asked for a proposal that the minutes of the previous meeting were a true and accurate record of the proceedings. Mr. Ward proposed that they were, Mrs. Quinney seconded the proposal and a vote was taken and agreed.

Matters Arising: “What’s Happening Board” – this is being updated.

Matters relating to the Stewardship:

The Stewardess came into the meeting and advised the Committee that it had been a good Christmas & New Year. She reminded the Committee that there was a Valentines disco and cocktail night arranged.

Pubwatch: Reviews took place. There is going to be an increase in TENS Applications. The Station are not on Pubwatch anymore. Next meeting 2nd February.

Mrs. Moorey said that she would like to arrange a meeting with the Stewardess and this was arranged for 29th January. Mr. Penfold asked how the new Dortmunder was going, the Stewardess confirmed that this was going okay. Mr. Penfold asked the Stewardess to advertise the 2 pints.

Bar: 2 fridge have had to be replaced these cost in the region of £800. A Stocktake was being carried out on 1st February.

Sports & Recreation:

Darts - Nothing to report. Football - Nothing to report.

Entertainment:

 Back to Skool was booked for Halloween.  Covertts provisionally booked for OAP dinner.  Disco 4th June 80’s theme  St. George’s Day – 23rd April Barn Dance Band booked. Mrs.Moorey confirmed that she will be discussing with the Stewardess about doing a supper.  Quiz Night arranged for 18th March. Teams of 6 at £3 a person – food platters to be arranged.  Mrs. Moorey said that she is hoping to arrange a Dinner/Dance - tbc

Football

 Sat 11th June first England Game – no entertainment – hot dogs and burgers  Thurs 16th June England second game kick off 2pm  Mon 20th June 3rd England game, kick off 8pm. If we qualify after this the next match is Sat 25th June with a 5pm kick off. Semis are mid-week matches and the final is Sunday 10th July.

The Stewardess is to ensure that there is adequate staff for all of this.

Kids Krew: Next function Easter Website: This is being updated.

Newsletter – Miss. Probert said that she had had an issue with this but this has now been sorted out and she will prepare a newsletter and send this to the Committee.

Treasurer’s Report: The Treasurer was not at the meeting but the figures, as at 6th January 2016, stood at:

Deposit 1: £ 23,794.72 Treasury Acc: £100,000.00 Total: £123,794.72

House: House meeting to be arranged.

Health & Safety: Meeting with the Stewardess to be arranged regarding this.

Any Other Business: No other matters were raised.

There being no further business the Vice Chairman thanked everyone for attending and closed the meeting. Next meeting was arranged for Thursday 18th February.
