99-06.01 Formally adopt March 26th Meeting Minutes CLOSED

Minor changes were noted, and the amended Minutes were formally adopted for circulation.

99-06.06 Future Involvement of Vendors: CML, XYPoint, & SCC TABLED

It was unanimously agreed that in relation to the Trial, the offer of assistance from (indefinitely) SCC was appreciated; however their services were not required. With regard to individual participants approaching any of the listed vendors off-line for assistance, it was agreed that this is a private matter outside the scope of the Trial preview.

It was agreed that Henry Patram would draft and send a letter of thanks for the offer of assistance from SCC.

99-06.07 Memorandum of Understanding (Follow-up from 99-05.07) ONGOING

Dennis Beland called in specifically to deal with this portion of the meeting. Extensive discussions and review of the MOU resulted in a number of changes and additions to the document. It was agreed that a version 2 of the document would be circulated by May 11th, with a strong focus towards finalizing the MOU in June.

Everyone complimented Dennis Beland on an excellent first draft of the document.

99-06.08 ESRD Numbering Plan (Follow-up from 99-05.08) ONGOING

This item was reviewed, and it was agreed that this information would be finalized as part of Schedule ‘B’ of the MOU.

99-06.09 Trunking Arrangements (Follow-up from 99-05.09) ONGOING

This item was reviewed, and it was agreed that this information would be finalized as part of Schedule ‘B’ of the MOU.

99-06.10 Geographical Coverage of Trial Area (Follow-up from 99-05.10) ONGOING

This item was reviewed, and it was agreed that this information would be finalized as part of Schedule ‘A’ of the MOU.

99-06.11 PSAP Screen Configuration & Presentation (Follow-up from 99-05.11) ONGOING

This item was reviewed, and it was agreed that this information would be finalized as part of Schedule ‘C’ of the MOU. 99-06.12 Project Plan (Follow-up from 99-05.12) ONGOING

A comprehensive outline of what the Project Plan should contain, was discussed. It was acknowledged that this would be a living document that requires adjustments as we move forward through the Trial. It was agreed that the Project Plan would be finalized as Schedule ‘D’ of the MOU.

99-06.13 NEW BUSINESS

a. NENA Wireless Congestion Control Committee INFO ONLY

Chris Kellett advised that he is participating with a group of people from Canada and the U.S. in relation to this important issue. The group includes the CTIA, some U.S. Wireless companies, and PSAP’s. The mandate is to look at developing high level guidelines, similar to the wireline standard of P.001, to assist NENA with developing a recommended approach for the future. The work is at the very preliminary stages. Kellett committed to making any relevant information available to the Trial, as well as the Wireless E911 Working Group.
