Just a reminder - if you are late to school for any reason, the person dropping you off must come in the building and sign you in. Attention 7 th /8 th grade football players or any other athlete: Middle School Winter Weightlifting will be starting January 11th and runs to March 22nd. Lifting sessions will be on Thursdays from 5:00-6:15 p.m. and Saturday mornings from 10 am-11:15 am. All sessions will be held at West Aurora High School weight room and the cost is $40. If interested please sign up on 8to18 or get a flyer from the main office. (1/11) Metra Safety Poster & Essay Contest: Theme – Eyes Up, Device Down! Deadline – January 31, 2018. 1st place – iPad, 2nd place - $250, 3rd place - $100. Poster Contest Awards: one 1st place, 2nd and 3rd place winner will be selected from each grade. Essay Contest Awards: one 1st place winner will be selected from three groups. To submit entry go to www.metracontest.com. (1/31) Herget spirit wear store is open! Show your Huskie Pride!! The link is on the Herget main website. Flyers with items sold and the link are available in the main office. Deadline is December 3rd. (12/3) 7 th and 8 th graders: Poms tryout information is now available at the main office. The tryout workshop will be held December 19th from 4:15-6:15. Tryouts will be December 21st beginning at 4:00. Details can be found in the packet. You must register on the Herget 8 to 18, have an up to date sports physical and turn in your application in order to attend the workshop/tryouts. Any questions should be directed to Mrs. Eimer in room 2205 or through a Schoology message. (12/19) Girl’s middle school volleyball open gym at West is starting soon on Tuesdays. It is a great way to have high school coaches see your skills! No sign up or payment is required.
