OPENING THOUGHTS: “Talkin’ ‘bout my generation…” Gen X, Boomers, The Greatest Generation, Millenials, Gen Y. What’s the difference really? Today we look at those of us in our 40s-50s… Here are some thoughts on being a “Middler”… Do you know these “Middlers” from the Bible? Shammua, Shaphat, Igal, Palti, Gaddiel, Gaddi, Ammiel, Sethur, Nahbi, Geuel? There’s a reason you don’t name your children these names!

I. A lesson on mind set from the ISRAELITES . (Numbers 13-14)  The Bible is special because the events recorded in it didn’t just ‘happen’. They HAPPEN!

II. We need a “Dirty Valverde” mind set. The mind-set of a closer!  Mind Set in Scripture is EVERYTHING.  Mind Set for Middlers is CRUCIAL.  Read: Isaiah 50:7, Colossians 3:2, Romans 12:2

III. A few thoughts from Cali, Columbia EXPLORATION .  Power Point slides – A land flowing with Faith and Spiritual POWER!  We can surely do it! God is WITH us!  Why there? In that place?  Jeremiah 29:11 is embraced and known. What about 29:13?  The Kingdom of God is like Matthew 13:44  Report: The Acts 2 church is alive and well!  We’d “kill” for that, but would we “die” for it?

KEY QUESTIONS: Is God with you? Are you with God? Are you strong and courageous? Do you long to run away? To escape? (see Psalm 55:6-7) What is your mind set this morning? Are you starter or a finisher? We can do ALL THINGS through Jesus Christ! Even make the sun stand still. (see Joshua 10:12-13)
