Vacancy: Junior Equity Analyst (Permanent) Reference: EQ16 Team: Investment Location: Ideally London based (Union Street) Salary: Dependent on Skills, Qualifications and Experience

Local Pensions Partnership Investments Ltd (LPPI) are seeking a Junior Equity Analyst to join a dedicated Investment team. The role will focus on the development, implementation and management of the agreed global equities pool and particularly the newly developed Internal Equity Portfolio.

You will be educated to graduate level (or similar) gained within a Finance and/or investment background and ideally be CFA qualified/near qualified or possess an equivalent related qualification. You will also be fully conversant with MS Office applications and be able to work to strict deadlines producing work of a very high standard at all times.

The successful candidate will have worked as an Analyst and have demonstrable knowledge in equity valuation techniques with ideally a minimum of one to two years’ industry experience within a relevant and similar organisation. The candidate will have the knowledge and skills to build a fully integrated cash flow model to support the due diligence process.

Candidates should have good analytical and report writing skills with attention to detail being a key element of the role. The post holder will prepare appropriate corresponding management reports to facilitate decision making forums, carry out all the administration activities of the asset class and assist the wider team in the monitoring of external equity portfolios. Therefore the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels including fund managers and external partners is a must.

Excellent communication and influencing skills are essential pre-requisites, along with the ability to be a lateral thinker who can both plan and prioritise a demanding multi-disciplined workload. In this small, but hard working team, candidates will need to be naturally outgoing, have the ability to work under pressure, will be pro-active rather than re-active, and have a real ‘can do’ approach.
