I understand that if I am chosen for this honor group, I will attend all required rehearsals and concerts. I also realize that not attending a rehearsal will result in my not performing in the final concert. I have checked my personal calendar in addition to school sports and testing (ACT, SAT) schedules for conflicts. I understand that in auditioning for this group with knowledge of prior commitments or conflicts I may be depriving another talented musician of this opportunity.

I also understand that it is essential to arrive promptly, and prepared, to all rehearsals and that my attendance is required for the length of the entire rehearsal.

In addition to the excerpts for your instrument, you must also play the following scales memorized:

1) Major Scale of your choice: 2 octaves, in 16th notes, at quarter note =100

2) Harmonic Minor Scale of your choice: 2 octaves, in 8th notes, at quarter note =120

3) Chromatic Scale of your choice: slurred, 2 or more octaves, in 8th notes, at quarter note=80

Auditions: Wednesday, November 9 from 6-7:30PM at Cherry Creek HS in the band room of the Fine Arts Wing, first come, first served

REQUIRED DATES AND TIMES: Rehearsal - Monday, January 30, 6-9PM at Smoky Hill HS Rehearsal - Friday, February 3, 6-9PM at Smoky Hill HS Rehearsal - Saturday, February 4, 8AM-4PM at Smoky Hill HS
