Team games Swamp

The group is divided into two groups. The trainers prepare two models of swamp and draw paths through the swamps, which are the mirrors for each other.

The task for the group is to go through the swamp from one side to another without to talk. Participants can communicate in their groups only with gestures. Communication between two groups is not allowed. The first step. The group chooses 2 or 4 persons who are the strategies. They have a short meeting and discuss the strategy how the group should go through the swamp. Then the strategies explain it to the group and the group may ask questions until everyone understands the strategy. After that the group of the strategies may only observe the game and cannot participate or give advice how to manage the problems. The group of the participants should realize this strategy during the game. They cannot discuss this process with each other they should ask about it only during the common meeting with the strategies. The second step. The rules of the game: keep silence the strategies are observers it’s not allowed putting any signs to show the path through the swamp because it’s a bog and everything is getting down. each participant has three lives; if she or he makes a mistake and steps past the path she or he loses one life. time for the whole game and for each part trainers can define themselves. The third step. The groups change swamps (they don’t know that the swamps are mirrors for each other). The rules are the same or the participants can talk. The fourth step. Discussion in the whole group.

Cobweb The trainers prepare the “cobweb” with so many holes how many participants will play. Some holes should be very small some should be big enough to go through them for a girl or a boy. The top (from the line to the ceiling) and the bottom ( from the line to the floor) are two holes too.

Task for the group of the participants is to go through the cobweb from one side to another side. The trainers fix the time. Rules: one person may go through one whole; after that the whole is closed; it’s not allowed to touch the rope; if someone touches the rope she or he comes back and the whole is opened again; trainers can make the rules stronger: for example, the person who touched the rope should came back with the person from another side or the participants cannot talk during the game…

The co-operation, leadership, group-dynamics, creating of the team…..exerciser Space speed

The group is divided into two groups. The participants stand in the circle and pass the ball from one person to another. Everyone remembers for whom she or he threw the ball. Then they repeat the game. The trainer proposes to do that faster and the group should find the method to pass the ball to each person in the group in one minute, one and a half…it’s not necessary to play this step of the game in a circle but everyone should touch the ball. The competition between two groups makes the result like a really space speed (less than one second).

Funny and active exercise for co-operation, team atmosphere, leadership… Can be a good combination with the Cobweb or Swamp.
