CNN Student News Viewing Instructions

 How to View 1. Each night (except Friday) view the CNN Student News episode for the day and/or read the episode’s transcript. Here’s how you access the videos: 1. Go to http://www.cnn.com/studentnews/ 2. Click on Click to play 2. You will have a quiz every Friday that will cover the big stories introduced during the week of viewing so keeping track of the information presented in each episode is highly recommended. You may be able to use any notes on the quiz.

 How to Access the Episodes’ Transcripts 1. Go to http://www.cnn.com/studentnews/ 2. Scroll down to the Show Archive box 3. Find and click on the date of the episode you want the transcript. 4. Scroll to the TRANSCRIPT heading on the page. 5. Click on Click here to access the transcript of today's CNN Student News program. 1. You may print the transcript.

 Roadblocks and Solutions o You do not have access to the internet and/or to a computer at home. . Solutions 1. Get a pass from me and view the day’s episode at lunch. 2. Print the transcript of the day’s episode from a laptop in the classroom and read the transcript at home. 3. View the day’s episode in the school library after school. 4. View the day’s episode at a computer at the public library. 5. Use a friend’s computer 6. Ask a friend to print up the episode’s transcript for you to read. 7. View on a smartphone or a cellular network enabled tablet. o You are behind in viewing the episodes and you need to access a prior day’s episode and/or transcript. . Solution 1. Go to http://www.cnn.com/studentnews/ 2. Scroll down to the Show Archive box. 3. Find and click on the date of the past episode(s) and/or transcript you need to view. o Click on Click to play to view the episode.
