Meeting called to order at EOB at 8:02 pm by Scott Witkin

Teams not signed in as present: Bannockburn, Cedarbrook, Diamond Farm, East Gate, Long Branch, Parkland, Plantations, Potomac Woods, Robin Hood, Tanglewood, Tanterra, Upper County

Scott Witkin, President, [email protected] • Asks the Board to introduce themselves • Covers Division structure, no new teams this year • Division O remains a 7-team division, Scott will discuss schedule with Div. O after the meeting • Yes, we have dual meets scheduled for July 4 • Scott covers how teams can choose to hold their meet, if both teams are amenable, on Friday, July 3 (which is a Federal holiday) • Teams choosing to switch the date also need to send a request for a meet change to the Rules committee at [email protected]

Andrew Arai, Treasurer, [email protected] • Covers our bank balance and talks about the formal budget approval in March • Team invoices will be distributed to teams in March

Jim Garner, Rules, [email protected] • Covers the two proposed rules changes, one on exhibition swimming and the other on USA Swimming sanction for Coaches LC (following continuous backstroke turn rules for USA swimming and not MCSL rules) • Rules changes will be voted on at March meeting and the text of the proposed changes is attached to these minutes

Scott Witkin, President, [email protected] • Covers the clinic schedule (available at mcsl.org) • Explains what’s needed to enroll in the Advanced Referee Clinic • We are finalizing a mid-week stroke and turn clinic to be held at Stone Ridge (likely June 2), replacing the clinic we held at Georgetown Prep in previous years • Connecticut Belair will be hosting a referee and starter clinic on June 3 • MLK to host a stroke and turn clinic on June 16 (the last available such training for 2015) • Volunteers can pre-register for the clinics, which is suggested but not required • Good idea to look at your list of officials now and determine who needs to recertify • The Board is contemplating holding an on-line clinic for advanced referee • PVS and USA Swimming starter and stroke and turn certifications are good with MCSL • MCSL requires all referees to go through MCSL training regardless of other certifications MCSL Reps Meeting 2

Kathy Aitken, • Covers the changes in the Meet Management Book (Green Book). One per team are available this evening with additional copies to be distributed in May

Liz Novatny, Awards, [email protected] • A meet ribbons will be distributed in May • B meet ribbons and/or finisher ribbons can be ordered through MCSL, with order forms available at the Team Rep meetings or by contacting [email protected]

Bob Hincke, Automation, [email protected] • Asks all Team Reps to update their team data and explains that Team Reps who don’t have — or have forgotten— the login information can email a request to [email protected] • We are sticking with Meet Manager 4.0 for this season • Two automation clinics will likely be held, one late May and one early June. KSAC and Germantown to be the sites.
