NON-SCHOOL GROUP PRICING INFORMATION DISCOVERY PARK OF AMERICA 2017-2018

Thank you for requesting information about group pricing at Discovery Park! Below you will find the answers to our most common group questions. If you need additional information, please call 731-885-5455 and ask for the Marketing Department at extension 1118 or 1120.

REGARDING TICKETS If you purchase 20 or more tickets at one time, you get a nice group discount. All pricing is PLUS TAX. If you are a tax exempt group, we need you to provide your tax exempt number when you book, and send us the signed form to keep from paying tax. (We cannot officially book your group as tax free without the tax exempt number.

If you plan to arrive on a bus, we will meet you with wrist bands and do a small orientation. You can book this way if you:

 Have more than 20 tickets purchased  Schedule two weeks in advance (1/2 total deposit required)  Arrive in common vehicle  Pay with one method of payment  If you are tax exempt, you need to have the tax exempt number handy when you call to book/order.

If this doesn’t work for your group, you can simply purchase “pre sale tickets” in blocks of 20 or more. You get the same discount; we just don’t meet you at the bus with wrist bands. These tickets can be purchased by calling the Marketing Department any day prior to your visit. We either mail your tickets or leave them at “will call” and you pass out the tickets on your end. With these tickets, your group can get in the fast line (for members and anyone with a ticket). Again, if you are tax exempt, we need your tax exempt number when you order to keep from having to pay tax.

GROUP PRICING (20 OR MORE TICKETS PURCHASED AT ONE TIME)

Adult: (age 13 – 64)…..Single Day: $10.95 2 Days: $16.95 (Plus Tax unless Tax Exempt) Senior: (age 65+) …… Single Day: $9.95 2 Days: $14.95 (Plus Tax unless Tax Exempt) Child: (age 4 – 12)….…Single Day: $8.95 2 Days: $12.95 (Plus Tax unless Tax Exempt) Baby: (0 – 3)…………...FREE

We do not sell tickets at a discount on the day of arrival. No group discount tickets are sold at the ticket counter. Discounted Group Tickets must be pre-purchased through the Marketing Department. Marketing Department: 731-885-5455 Extension 1118 or 1120.

REGARDING FOOD: We offer pre-ordered group lunches at Discovery Park for $6.00 (Hotdog, chips and drink OR Ham, Turkey, Chicken Salad, Pimento Cheese Sandwich, chips and drink). We also have a full menu if you choose to not pre-order and get the group lunch. You can view the Cafe menu here. Once we order food from the Cafe, we cannot give a refund.

If you want to picnic: We have a very nice park about a mile north of Discovery Park in the industrial park in Union City. It has at least one pavilion and a walking path. Some groups who want to bring a picnic lunch go there to eat lunch. We do not have picnic accommodations on the Discovery Park Grounds at the present time.

REGARDING SPECIAL ATTRACTIONS NOT INCLUDED IN GENERAL ADMISSION PRICES:

Also, groups like to know about our SPECIAL ATTRACTIONS, which are not included in the general admission prices. We have three add-on attractions that are not included in the general admission ticket. They are timed attractions and because only a limited number of people who can do them each day, they are extra. The cost is $3.95 each or $9.95 for all three special attractions. All prices are subject to tax unless your group is tax exempt.

The Earthquake Simulator is a 10-minute simulation of the 1811-1812 earthquakes that formed Reelfoot Lake. When an earthquake occurs on the video, you will experience an earthquake, too! The Earthquake Simulator is $3.95 per person.

The Starship Theater is a 40-minute interactive journey through outer space. You will have the chance to become an engineer, scientist, observer, or maybe even a pilot! The Starship Theater is $3.95 per person.

The Tower is an observation deck that allows you to see for miles around Union City, TN. Be sure to step on the two glass floor panels inside and the four glass floor panels outside! The Tower is $3.95 per person.

TRAVELING EXHIBIT PRICES:

There are traveling exhibits held at Discovery Park of America each spring and each fall. The cost to experience these are $7 for non-members, $6 for groups and members, and $5 for students. Pre-Kindergarten guests are FREE. Start planning your visit to see the traveling exhibits!
