Pennsylvania Bar Association Conference of County Bar Leaders Request for Proposed Conference Workshop
The Conference of County Bar Leaders (CCBL) Executive Committee coordinates the CCBL, which is held in late February every year. The workshops and sessions are organized at the planning retreat held in the summer or early fall of the year prior to the Conference. Requests for workshops should be submitted on this form no later than May 15, 2015 to the PBA County Bar Services Director. Please answer the questions below when submitting a proposed workshop or session:
1. How does your workshop promote the objectives of CCBL as reflected below?
2. Who you would select to speak at the workshop?*
3. How much do you believe this speaker would cost, and what funds would you use to pay for the speaker?*
4. How short/long do you believe this workshop should run? I.e., no shorter than one hour and no longer than two hours.
5. Please identify any additional resources needed for this workshop.
6. If you are suggesting this workshop for a plenary session or for a specific group, i.e. bar executives or bar presidents, please indicate why you believe the session should be plenary or focused on this group.
* Not required information, but preferred.
The objectives of the Conference are: To establish a closer relationship between the county Bar Associations in Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the American Bar Association;
To provide a forum for the mutual interchange of ideas among Bar Associations;
To provide training, guidance, resources and assistance to local Bar Associations and their leaders;
To stimulate the work of the Bar Associations generally; and
To promote the standing of the legal profession and the Courts, improve the administration of justice, and improve the economic standing of the legal profession.
