Over the past several years, there has been an ever-rising popularity of the use of ultrasonography in physical medicine and rehabilitation practice around the world. This imaging technique is a valuable clinical tool particularly in the evaluation of sports injuries because of its ability to dynamically assess lesions with fast examination time and high diagnostic accuracy. The seminar aims to introduce the technique of US and its usage for various musculoskeletal problems. The 3-day workshop will focus on hands-on imaging skills with demonstrations and practice.

3-day Hands-On Workshop Date: December 14-16, 2007 (Fri-Sun) Time: 9.00am - 5.00pm Venue: TBC, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Registration Fee: HKD$2,500 Application Deadline: November 16, 2007 * Workshop is limited to 25 participants. Preferences will be given to M.Sc. Sports Physiotherapy students and physiotherapists whose day-to-day work is directly related to patient care and an interest in musculoskeletal/sports rehabilitation.
Professor Cho received his M.D. and Ph.D. training at the Kyungpook National University School of Medicine in Korea. His specialty is in musculoskeletal ultrasound imaging. Professor Cho serves as the President of Korean Society of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Imaging since 1998. He is also a board member of the Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Society (USA) and Korean Radiological Society. Professor Cho has contributed as an invited speaker at many overseas scientific meetings including Japan, Taiwan, Spain, Canada and USA. He lectures at the Annual Conference of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Imaging Society since 1998. His research interest lies in the US evaluation and diagnosis of skeletal and soft tissues. Professor Cho has published widely in international journals such as Skeletal Radiology, Radiology, Radiologic Clinics of North America.
