In addition * Workshop Modules (examples) students should fill out the attached registration Communication Apprehension form and return it to the dept. office, HGH 108, CL240 Outlining for Speeches to your instructor, or to Beth Von Till, Liz Harris or Leadership Workshop Shannon Doyle Gender Communication Accent & Articulation THE CLASS CODE IS ______Delivery Skills Problem Solving Requirements Listening Skills Impromptu Speaking To earn 1 unit of Comm. 80, complete any three Reasoning modules or workshops before the end of the Nonverbal Communication semester. Self-paced instructional modules Web Design are available whenever the Lab is open. Here are some important reminders about Comm. 80, a one unit credit/no credit opportunity to enrich and enhance your oral communication skills:
You must complete any three modules before the end of the last full week of classes in the semester—the lab closes a week before the end of the semester!!
Visit the Lab in Clark 240 soon Check the dept. Web page for updates and changes: commlab.pbworks.com To attend a workshop, just show up Seating is on a first come basis You must attend the full two-hour workshop for credit Preference is given to students enrolled in Comm 80 Some workshops have limited enrollment Self-paced instructional modules are available any time during scheduled Lab hours. Each one takes a little over an hour to complete
Start early, don’t wait until the end of the semester to complete your modules-- workshops may be full and the lab gets very busy.
Grades of incomplete and no-credit are given for failure to complete the requirements
You may repeat Comm 80 for 2 additional semesters. There is no way to earn more than 1 unit per semester.
