Under-delivery Imbalance Caution: Guidelines starting April 3rd

Public Service Company of Colorado, an Xcel Energy Company April 3, 2017

Weather is forecast to be average to colder than normal for this time of the year for Monday through Thursday of this week.

ACTION ADVISED: Shippers are advised to increase nominations immediately to cover load during the colder periods, as our storage flexibility – the ability to withdraw or inject excess volumes – is significantly reduced as we enter the required storage draw-down period.

STORAGE LIMITATIONS THROUGH SPRING: With the reduced storage flexibility, please evaluate your gas usage carefully and avoid significant over- deliveries as we reduce storage, as well as under-deliveries, which you may not be able to payback. To avoid surprises be sure to review weather forecasts frequently, as weather during Spring is highly changeable.

We appreciate your efforts in managing your supplies and limiting imbalances during the Spring period. If you have questions concerning a nomination change you wish to make for significant imbalance payback or makeup, please contact either Donna Woods at 303-273-4826 or Sharon Gordon at 303-273-4724.

Sincerely, Ken Buys, Gas Control Manager
