Please find below the dates of upcoming events until the end of term.

PTA- End of Year Party On Friday 7th July 6-9pm we will be holding our first end of year party! We have a licensed bar, BBQ, stalls, entertainment, the much anticipated Kids V Teachers Quiz, our amazing school choir will be performing and much more!! To allow us to cater for everyone we are making this a ticket only event, £5 for adults, children are free. Tickets will be available soon from the school office and a ticket order form will be sent out soon. We're really hoping this will be a great night to celebrate the end of the school year, to say goodbye to our year 6 and to welcome our new reception class. The money we raise on the night will be going towards buying a zoo pass for the whole school to enjoy. It will mean the children can go on class trips to visit the zoo at anytime throughout the year with no cost to parents. This is something the whole school can enjoy and I would love for the PTA to be able to provide this!

Non Uniform Day!! Are you ok with this date?? Next Friday, 16th June will be a non uniform day but we won't be asking for cash we'll be asking for chocolate!! This will be for our chocolate tombola stall at the party, you can send in a bar of chocolate, a box, a multi pack, whatever you like!!

Dinner Money Dinner money for this term will be £77 (less £2.20 for any school trips) or £11 per week payable on a Monday. Please ensure that you send any money into school in an envelope with your child’s name. If you are paying by cheque please make it payable to LCC. As this is the final term of the school year Mrs Montgomery would be very grateful if any outstanding dinner money could be paid as soon as possible so that she can finalise the dinner accounts before the summer break. She will contact parents via text with the amounts to be paid.

KS1 Dance Club Children in KS1 are welcome to join the dance club on Wednesday after school from 3.25-4.30. They will be performing a routine that parents will be invited to come along and watch at the end of the term. Please note that on Wednesday 14th June Dance club won’t be on due to Beech, Oak and Elm class trip.

Keep a Child Warm’ project Reminder the coat collection is on Thursday 22nd June. This is a good opportunity to have a clear out of any items that your child/children/adults may have grown out of and have no longer any use for them. As space in school is limited, please could you send in any items to school in black/white bag on the morning of the 22nd June. The items they can take are: WARM WINTER clothing for children aged from 3 up to teenage/small adult. This would include: Winter coats, Thick jumpers, Cosy trousers, Thick socks, Hats, scarves and gloves, Blankets (around 6x4ft in size), Closed-toe shoes/boots that will keep feet warm and dry

School reopens on Tuesday 5 th September at 9.00 am for the new school year Clubs: Taekwondo Club: This will take place every Friday after school and continues until the last session on Friday 14th July. Tennis Club: This will take place on Thursday mornings before school on the above dates. To join Tennis club, please ask Mrs Montgomery for information. Mr Military Fitness club- This continues Tuesdays until the end of term on 18th July in the mornings from 8.-8.45am in school. Please ensure you have registered and paid for your child if they wish to attend. Basketball: This will continue Thursdays until 20th July after school. The sessions take place after school and more information can be obtained from Mrs Montgomery. Sports Club Mrs Montgomery will be holding sports club on Mondays after school. This will comprise of athletics/rounders/cricket etc as there are several of these competitions coming up during the next few weeks. All children in KS2 are welcome to attend. Petite Acting Academy: This takes place on Tuesdays after school. A letter about this club has been sent home with children from Reception to Year 4. All the information is on the letter, including how to book and pay for a place for your child.

Events PTFA Family Event (07.07.17) More details to follow about this evening event for all our Staining families Sports Days KS2 sports day will take place on Tuesday 11th July at 1.00pm (reserve date Friday 14th July) and KS1 sports day will take place on Wednesday 12th July at 1.00pm (reserve date Thursday 13th July). Please note that the reserve date will only be used if the weather is too bad for us to have the event on the first allocated date. Year 6 Performance Dates The Year 6 performance will take place on Tuesday 11th July at 9.30am, Wednesday 12th July at 7.00pm and Thursday 13th July at 7.00pm. Information about tickets will follow soon. End of Year Reports (14.07.17) You will receive a copy of your child’s end of year report on this day. Please contact your child’s class teacher if you would like to discuss their report further. DT Buggy Day (18.07.17) This is a day in school where we can all build/ race the buggies we have made – more information to follow. PTFA Family Day (19.07.17) Family Picnic More details to follow about this day in school for all the children. Hopefully it will include a kite flying event! Year 6 leavers service This will take place during the last afternoon of the term. More details to follow.
